Where do I go?

You will need to go to the Welcome Area which will be on the ground floor of Clement House, 99 Aldwych, London WC2A 2AE. Click here for a map.

What time do I need to arrive?

You must arrive at 09.45 for a 10.00 am start. Please try not to be late…you don’t want to miss out on anything. But, if you are late a member of our team will be at the Welcome Area at all times to show you where you need to be. Our staff will be wearing bright yellow t-shirts, so they are easy to spot.

How will the day be structured?

You will receive a programme when you arrive, but just so you can familiarise yourself with how you’ll be spending your day, here’s a heads-up with a copy of the timetables. You will be allocated a group depending on your surname. Remember to look at the right one for you! If you have any questions about this, or would like to change groups to be with your friends please speak to any staff member on the day.

Group A

09.30-10.00	Collect your programme
10.00-12.00	University Presentation
12.00-13.00	Lunch break
13.00-14.00	Career Workshop 1
14.00-15.00	Career Workshop 2

 

 

 Group B

If you're in Group B, you'll be straight in at the deep end with two Careers Workshops!

Careers Workshops

You must attend both Career Workshops on the day. At LSE you can choose from:

• Law (Group A - Freshfields, Group B - Denton Wilde Sapte)
• Medicine - British Medical Association
• Teaching - Training and Development Agency (TDA) or Teach First

We know that some of you may not be thinking of pursuing a career in these industries, however it is still essential that you attend two workshops. You can include the workshops in your personal statement as positive exploration of your career options. The career workshops are designed to encourage students to think about what their future career might be - who knows, like some Pure Potential Alumni, you could walk away with a completely new perspective on your future career. Pure Potential's advice is to come along with open mind - you never know what you might learn!

The official university website is the best for this kind of information. Just to make it easy for you, here’s the link so you don’t need to search it on Google: LSE Map.

Please note that there will be no parking spaces available for individual cars on campus, therefore, students are advised to use public transport. Unfortunately we are unable to cover any travel expenses.

Other Stuff…

Bring your own packed lunch as lunch will not be provided.

If you have any queries about anything that may happen on the day or if you wish to change group you can ask us on the day of the event. There will be lots of friendly staff around to help you out throughout the day.

Note to teachers

We strongly encourage you to attend the sessions with your students.
