Clifford Chance

Clifford Chance is a truly global law firm, which operates as one organisation throughout the world. Our aim is to provide the highest quality professional advice by combining technical expertise with an appreciation of the commercial environment in which our clients work.

As a trainee this means you will gain breadth and depth in your experiences. We offer a uniquely global perspective and we actively encourage our lawyers to develop international experience. Most trainees interested in an international secondment spend six months abroad.

The range of work performed by the firm world-wide can be divided into six main areas of business; Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Corporate, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Real Estate, and Tax, Pensions and Employment. The common theme in all areas is the provision of creative commercial solutions for the wide range of issues encountered by our clients. Our working style is characterised by a real sense of energy, enthusiasm, and determination to provide the best possible service to our clients.

We commit to building the futures of all our trainees, and our recruitment strategy is based on a long-term view. We want you to stay with us on qualification, and enjoy a rewarding career contributing to the success of the global business. We are a diverse multicultural firm and we expect and encourage our trainees to develop in directions that reflect their individual talents and style. Throughout your training contract we will give you the opportunity to realise your highest ambitions and become part of our commitment to be the world’s premier law firm.
