Five partners Pure Potential is proud to work with:
Addleshaw Goddard LLP
Addleshaw Goddard is a major force on the UK legal landscape with the capability to provide excellent service to a global client base from our three national offices in London, Leeds and Manchester. Ranked 15th largest law firm in the UK with a fee income in 2005/06 of over £161m, Addleshaw Goddard's aim is to be the automatic first choice for legal advice for FTSE 350 businesses and those of equivalent size and ambition. As a fast expanding and innovative law firm, a career with Addleshaw Goddard means more variety, earlier responsibility and opportunities to develop with the firm. We have four main business divisions, namely finance and projects, contentious and commercial, corporate and real estate. Within these divisions also operate some of our specialist areas including sport, intellectual property and private client.
But it's not just about hard work. The cultural heart of our firm is driven by a passion for delivering the highest quality of advice and services, setting standards that are valued by clients and admired by competitors. We are committed to providing the support our people need to achieve these goals in terms of both resources and development. The proof? The Sunday Times and The Times listing Addleshaw Goddard as one of the "Top 100 Best Companies to Work For", "Top 50 Companies Where Women Want to Work" and "Top 100 Graduate Employers" in 2006, and winning The Lawyer HR Award for Excellence in Training, 2007.
We're also introducing new ideas into everything we do. All of our trainees have the opportunity to spend a week overseas (this year in Romania) working on a community project, developing their skills and getting to know their colleagues in the process.
We are the first law firm to introduce a pod casting feature to our graduate website, enabling browsers to follow the experiences of a real trainee who has recently started with the firm. The pod casts also provide helpful tips on choosing a career and getting through assessment centers, as well as demonstrating our commitment to innovation and technology.
Furthermore, we have recently launched a new diversity access programme which aims to open up career paths to applicants from less conventional academic backgrounds. Through this new programme we aim to promote wider access to careers in law.
Training programme:
From induction to qualification, your bespoke training programme is designed to give you the opportunity to experience a broad range of commercial and corporate work, and to do so in depth. Working as a key member of our team, you will develop the professional skills necessary to deal with the demanding and challenging work we carry out for our clients.
During each six-month seat you will have regular performance reviews with your partner or associate supervisor. This is a genuine two-way process and we encourage you to give us constructive suggestions for the continuous development of the programme. Your on-the-job training is also complemented by a series of high quality training courses provided by our in-house team and external experts.
They say:
It was a very rewarding event. It was good to reach out to young adults from the locality and furnish them with courage and confidence. I am looking forward to similar collaborations in the coming academic year
