We're looking for graduates who have talent, energy, ambition and commitment - and who want to play a part in our continued success. The work we do is intellectually demanding and professionally stretching. But although you'll work hard - we'll work equally hard for you.
As soon as you join us, we will devise your personal development plan with you. This will be your blueprint for your career progression with us. And we'll ensure the right support programmes are in place to enable you to perform effectively against that plan. You will be appraised every three months, so you'll always know exactly how you're progressing. And you will be encouraged to have an open dialogue with our graduate recruitment team, raising issues with them and discussing any problems.
During your training contract, in addition to your on-the-job learning and legal technical training, you will also attend a variety of talks, workshops and lunchtime sessions as part of our Trainees' Training Programme. Designed to improve your skills across a range of areas, they cover subjects as diverse as time management, meeting skills and team working.
You will also have the opportunity to spend 6 months in one of our other UK or overseas offices or on a client secondment. Employee benefits include an annual bonus scheme, bounty scheme, dental insurance discount, concierge service, Life assurance, employee confidential careline, 25 days annual leave & flexible holiday allowance, gym subsidy, pension scheme, Private medical insurance and Study assistance.
We have 60 trainee vacancies a year and we are currently recruiting for March 2009, September 2009 and March 2010. We also offer 55 students places on our Vacation schemes throughout the year. In order to apply for a Training Contract you should be a good communicator and a committed team player. You will need to have achieved 320 UCAS points and a 2:1 degree. If you are a non-law student, you can apply at any time in your final year. If you are a law student, you should apply after your penultimate year results.
They say:
I was surprised to see how prepared some of the students were, very impressed - they were very good with questions and being interactive.
