PP: Sixth Events

Pure Potential helps the brightest students from state schools and colleges in the UK with the university application process. In Summer 2012 we are running a series of FREE nationwide events called PP: Sixth to answer all of your questions about university and to give you the chance to find out about different careers from leading graduate employers. Our events are run in partnership with six universities.

The day begins at 9.45am and ends at 3.30pm. Each event is divided into two sections - the University Presentation, and Careers Workshops:

University Presentation

• The benefits of higher education and the application process
• Choosing your course and university
• Student finance and budgeting
• The personal statement
• Communication skills for interview

Careers Workshops

• What a career in accountancy, investment banking, law, management consultancy, retail, IT, medicine or teaching involves** 
• Entry requirements and selection processes
• Making your application stand out
• Work experience
• Meet potential future employers

**Please note that not all career sectors will be available at every event and you will be able to select one or more from the available workshops.

Booking a place

Bookings for PP: Sixth 2012 are now open. Students can click on the following to link to book: PP: Sixth Event Booking Form.

If you are a teacher and you would like to make a group booking, please follow our three easy steps...

Step 1: Please email binda[at]purepotential.org with the event you would like to attend and the number of students you would like to make a provisional booking for.

Step 2: Once you have informed us of your numbers, please download a copy of our paper booking form and ask students to complete the form upon their return from study leave.

Step 3: You can either send us a copy of the form in the post, or you can bring a copy of the form with you on the day of the event.

Students can still make individual bookings online via our website. To help you keep track of student bookings, we can send you the names of students who have booked from your school - just give us a call and we'll be happy to help.
